The Ultimate Home Planner

Before I got organized

Next, there are tasks to wipe down my counters and sinks both in the morning and in the evening. This has helped me tremendously! I no longer let dishes pile up or crumbs linger on the counters. Doing this every day keeps my home ready to host unexpected visitors.

I also hate to clean toilets. Don’t get me wrong, I love having clean toilets, but I would rather avoid it. Having a task to clean toilets once a week keeps me accountable to a clean home. Since I’m in there, I might as well tackle the sinks and showers.

Why Is Organizing On My Mind?

Technically, it is still winter. Here in Southern California, it is a perfect 73°. There is not a cloud in the sky and just the slightest breeze. Sitting in weather like this is a blessing after a very rough season that we began the year with. California witnessed one of the most intense windstorms in over a decade, bringing so much devastation. There were so many fires that broke out that claimed whole communities. Each fire left so many without homes and feeling hopeless.

We had

• The Eaton fire in Pasadena
• The Hurst fire in Sylmar
• The Tyler fire in Coachella
• and several others.

With fires being contained, there is so much clean-up and rebuilding which will take years to complete. If God is pressing on your heart to give in the relief efforts there are several ways you can. You can donate money or volunteer in the clean-up. I highly recommend going to Samaratan’s Purse.

So much was destroyed this winter, but the new birth of Spring is just around the corner. The beautiful California sun is shining bright, invoking me to plan for some much-needed Spring cleaning. As I look around my house, yard, and garage, I can easily become overwhelmed by what I see.
